This 13-inch aluminum Filipino wok brings authentic cooking capabilities to your kitchen with a heavy-gauge build capable of handling high heat and frequent tossing. It is sized for large batches of pancit, stir-fried vegetables, and shallow frying operations directly on gas or outdoor burners.
- Fitted Deep Bowl: Unique round-bottom geometry supports aggressive stirring and effective sauce containment during active cooking.
- Heavy-Gauge Aluminum: Substantial 1.2 kg weight ensures durability while maintaining responsiveness to temperature changes.
- Large Diameter Span: Approx. 33 cm width creates ample working surface for family-sized portions of rice or noodles.
- Controlled Grip: Two sturdy handles provide leverage for lifting the pan safely with protective gloves as needed.
- Direct Flame Use: Designed for optimal performance on gas jets and portable camping burners.
- Cooktop Compatibility: Works on flat surfaces with a ring adapter but lacks magnetic properties for induction units.
- Bare Metal Finish: Smooth uncoated inside encourages natural seasoning development over time rather than chemical coatings.
- Maintenance Protocol: Clean gently by hand to prevent corrosion and wipe dry immediately after rinsing for longevity.
The straightforward setup allows cooks to achieve consistent textures and faster results compared to standard lightweight pans. Handling this heavy, stable vessel makes managing large meals easier while preserving the traditional aesthetics of Filipino home cooking.
